Sunset in Florida

Shot of the sunset from Alex’s Yacht

Alex hired RMwraps for one of our most extensive architectural film install projects ever in February 2020. Almost every single solid surface except for the floors on both the upper main deck and the lower cabin deck was wrapped. Overall this big project took Randy 21 days to complete, using almost 4 full rolls of material. Unfortunately the Covid pandemic started ramping up right as this project was completed, and Randy stopped traveling for installation projects for over a year after he got back home from this project in Florida.

There were a LOT of pieces to finishing this puzzle, including some truly intricate panels & furniture pieces - check them out in the photos and videos below.

Starting In The Galley

This was perhaps the quickest and most straight-forward portion of the whole project, because all the surfaces were flat. Still, there were a few intricate pieces that took some meticulous work in the air vent above the refrigerator, and the shelf accent pieces.

Main Saloon Area

So. Many. Curves! All of the natural light coming into this space helped accentuate the pattern in the leather architectural film.

Wrapping The Doors & Trims

This project was so big, that even the doors and trim get their own section. Overall there was 14 doors (either storage, or bulkhead) that got wrapped - all of them with included trim, and most of them being wrapped on both sides. All doors and trim were wrapped in Belbien material.

Vanity/TV in Master Cabin

Another major feature of this job was the vanity area in the master cabin. The complex curves and recessed areas required several individual pieces of vinyl, ample use of heat to stretch and contour the film, and lots of patience, but it came out looking great.

Bulkheads Throughout

Almost every bulkhead on the lower deck was stripped down to the base plaster/fiberglass and wrapped in Belbien DA-82 Carta Wrinkled Abstract Pattern architectural film. Some accent parts of the bulkheads on the upper deck were wrapped as well to match the rest of the wrapped pieces.
