The Talley Group, the company behind Sassy Balls Protein Snacks, contacted us in August of 2022 to have us help launch their protein snack product line with a couple custom-wrapped IDW commercial refrigerators. The units wrapped were the IDW G-3 Countertop Cooler and IDW G-9.5 Upright Cooler.

These units allowed us to use and show off 3M Frosted Crystal glass vinyl for the first time - a unique material that gives the look of chemical etching on glass, without the hassle and cost. This material is a great way to add a bit of unique flare to the glass, while also keeping the design a bit subtle and still allowing customers to see the products inside the fridge.

An Unfortunate Hiccup

When delivery day came, the customer was shocked to find that the larger of the 2 units had been damaged somewhere in transit. This was understandably upsetting to the customer, and we jumped into action to get the problem solved.

Starting in 2022, we started carrying a new, full-coverage insurance option through our freight provider on every product we shipped via freight. This coverage is purchased and processed completely on the back end between RM wraps and the freight logistics company - in cases like this where a product shows up damaged, all the customer had to do was note the product was damaged at the time of delivery, and everything was covered and handled by RM wraps (We handle damaged products a little differently than some other companies - watch this video to learn what to do in the case your RM wraps freight order shows up damaged).

Luckily the damage wasn’t too severe to this unit, so rather than replace it completely, we had it shipped back to our shop for repair and rewrapping. After stripping the damaged vinyl, doing a quick pass of sanding and body-filling, the unit was rewrapped, repacked (with a little bit extra packaging material this time), and shipped off to the customer a second time.
